Prologue Part 2

He didn't know how many times after that he came to visit the human girl, twice, three times, after a while he lost count. But no matter how hard he tried he could not stay away, everything about her drew him in. Her face, her voice, even her scent! But it was her eyes that were the worst, those shimmering silver-amber suns seemed to suck him into a completely different world. A world far away from the ones he saw… and he liked it.
But he wondered how long it would last…
"Sir Ulquiorra, why do I only see you at nighttime?"  She asked him one night as they sat under the moon, her long pale fingers were weaving a crown of daisies with quick swift movements.
He stiffened slightly, he had his back to her looking at the moon but he could hear her every movement like he was sitting right next to her. He could even hear the steady beat of her heart that alone was music to his ears. But her question stirred uneasiness and fear inside of him, how was he going to answer?
"But I prefer it this way. And voilà, all done!" He heard the rustle of her nightgown as she shifted slightly and laid the crown of daisies on top of his midnight hair. "There you go! You look absolutely perfect, Sir Ulquiorra!" He watched as her body was consumed by peals of laughter that shook her entire frame and caused her hair to fall into her eyes.
"Onna…" he sighed, as he tried to untangle the daisies free from his hair. But the harder he tried to free them, the more they tangled themselves in his hair. Watching his struggle caused the girl to laugh even harder, causing her ribs to ache with each breath until finally he finally gave up completely.
"Here, let me help!" the girl laughed, as she began to untangle the daisies, her touch as soft as a feather, causing his eyes to close and to sigh with content. Her scent, like fresh flowers and honey, filled his head and flowed down his throat like the finest of wines until he was utterly intoxicated with it. Her soft fingers stroking his hair sent a shiver down his spine and heat to pool at the base of his stomach… he didn't want this moment to end.
"If this is a dream I don't want it to end, not ever…" he thought to himself.
Even though, deep down he knew it soon would.
